Original line and wash illustration, watercolour and ink on watercolour paper, September 2022. This piece was created to compliment my favourite soup recipe and celebrate seasonal september vegetables. The recipe - Carrot, cumin, and red lentil soup - is written on the reverse of the page.

Artist's note: 
In order to save paper, I often paint on both sides of a page. Many of my originals have small offcuts or snippets of other images on the reverse. Artist's have been doing this for centuries and small remnants like these are usually hidden by the frame or mount.
